Unicef wanted to do something new: a big idea to integrate brand and fundraising across their winter campaign. We were challenged to push them out of their comfort zone, to be bold and ambitious. So we declared War on Disease…
THE BIG CREATIVE IDEa
Right now, a war is raging. It’s in every country around the world. It’s in every home, hospital and remote community. It’s inside every child. We are at war with disease and we’re losing. Preventable diseases are on the rise and every day, 16,000 children under five die, usually because they don’t get the health care and life-saving vaccines they need.
There can be no more casualties. We must fight. We must win. But we need you.
Vaccinate a child. Save a life.

War on Disease was developed by Open with the wider campaign developed in collaboration with The Community and The Kite Factory. Brand assets were developed by The Community, including digital outdoor, Waterloo station takeover and digital display. Social assets were developed by Unicef’s in-house teams.
