NSPCC 2023

For the past year, I’ve been Creative Lead on all NSPCC projects at Open. This means developing client relationships, understanding organisational challenges and objectives, and working with our strategic and creative teams to ensure that every project - from digital, event launches, products and TV - works for each team and audience, but also fits in to their bigger strategic vision. These are some of the projects I’ve been involved with over the last year…

GamING FESTIVAL LAUNCH

NSPCC’s inaugural Game Safe Festival brought together pro gamers, developers, young people and their parents to share their passion for all things gaming, and give them the tools, knowledge and confidence to keep children safe online. This film launched the festival as celebration of all the reasons we game - the escapism, the exploration, the fun, the competition, the friends we make and the things we learn through play.

Christmas DRTV

Based on Kara’s real story, this film shows the connection between a young person and the Childline counsellor who answers their call for help. From the loneliness of the opening and Kara’s initial reluctance to tell her story, to the way both character’s framing eventually mirrors the other - almost making eye contact across the frame – it shows the care and empathy of Childline counsellors and the life-changing difference their patience and kindness can make to young people. By donating to answer a call, this is what donors can provide for another child like Kara.

February DRTV

Over the years I’ve met many Childline counsellors and always been blown away by their stories and their dedication to children and with this film, I wanted to give the audience that experience, too. Marie is a long-serving Childline counsellor and in her own words tell us why she volunteers every week, some of the stories children have shared with her and why none of this would be possible without donations.
